Training Overview:

Do you want to build a career helping women facilitate a healthy pregnancy? Do you want to differentiate yourself from traditional doulas and newborn care specialists with more functional and hormonal health knowledge?

Birthing and pregnancy are important parts of a woman’s life, which will initiate a beautiful transformation of mind, body, and spirit.

Few women appreciate how much the body changes during pregnancy and what is required to maintain optimal health in the process. Most women go into this process with little emotional support and knowledge about what they will experience. Women are forced to navigate crucial details of their pregnancy on their own without professional help.

The Aura Institute Pregnancy & Fertility Practitioner training is designed to train practitioners with the tools they need to build a thriving business supporting women from pre-conception through childbirth. This certification includes Doula training, with more breadth and depth of functional health knowledge.

We created this training as we noticed women increasingly seeking more health, emotional, and spiritual support during their pregnancy. You’ll leave the training feeling confident in acting as a “point guard” for your client’s pregnancy, making their process healthy and easeful.

This training is led by an all-female team which includes a functional medicine doctor, nutritionist, chiropractor, and master Doula. All our trainers are either mother’s themselves, or have significant experience working in a clinical setting with women during the pregnancy process.

The truth is, regardless of your depth of education, to be a professional pregnancy practitioner requires you to build your own business and find new clients on your own. This training will also prepare you with tools and strategies for developing a rich client base, completely from scratch.

FAQs

The PFP Certification gives you the education and professional recognition to support women through their birthing process, whether that be in an existing clinic or through private practice. We created this certification as we felt the traditional birth-support institutions (doulas, newborn care specialists) were insufficient for meeting the true demands of women during this time, and needed an upgrade.

Yes, we are pending approval for our Level 1 training to apply as 40 continuing education hours with the American Psychological Association, the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and the California Board of Nurses.

It’s also possible to submit your CE’s to individual state boards. Please be in touch with our academic coordinator to help you apply for CEs.

This training is open to anyone with a background in health or wellness. We’ll need to briefly review your educational background when you apply.
The trainings are designed to be taken together along with our business training after you finish. However, you are able to take only level 1.
After completing level 1, you can use the title “Aura Institute Certified Pregnancy Coach.” After completing Level 1 and Level 2, you can use the title “Aura Institute Certified Pregnancy & Fertility Practitioner (PFP).” These titles are a professional accreditation and do not change the scope of your current license.
All live sessions are recorded. As much of the learning happens from being live with the group, we encourage you to attend as many live as you can. You can make up attendance by watching the recording.
